Bob Clark, director of the classic A Christmas Story, gives us his other version of Christmas. A group of college girls are systematically terrorized by a mysterious stranger. The killer is calling the girls from the attic, where he waits for his opportunities to strike. Black Christmas was released four years before Halloween, and it’s on obvious influence. All of the actors (including a then unknown Margot Kidder) are strong and the score is excellent. This movie is considered by some fans to be among the best of the slasher genre.
