Werewolf movies usually fall into one of two categories: They are either a member of a group of movies that are a joy to watch, or they are so boring as to be a complete waste of time. Ginger Snaps is in the first group, and it makes a very short list of great werewolf movies. The story revolves around two sisters who share a small world of their own making. After the older sister is bitten by a werewolf, things in their world begin to spin out of control. Amazing characterization, great dialog and truly interesting and innovative ideas to apply to werewolf mytholigy, Ginger Snaps is a modern classic. There have been two sequels, so far, and they are both worthy of a dvd purchase also.
