We should get some pretty funny responses here. I can throw a couple out for your consideration:
It’s probably no accident that both star Scott Baio.

Wow - there are so many bad ones to choose from…here’s my list:
Small Wonder (teenage girl robot)
Mr. Belvadear (streaks on the China, never mattered before!)
227
Famiy Matters (Urkel)
Shows that are remembered fondly but suck:
Facts of Life
Growing Pains
Three’s Company
Good Times

I remain convinced that Good Times was a quality program.

I’m pretty sure the worst sitcom ever was Threes a Crowd, if you remember it.

Jill how could you say Three’s Company. It is pobably the best sitcom of all time. This show has more reruns on tv then any other show except for the Brady Bunch and may surpass that one day. John Ritter is a master at sitcom comedy I agree with Rick the follow up Three’s a Crowd was bad.
I have to go with Mama’s Family, AfterMASH, and Top of the Heap (Married with Children spinoff).
Obscure pick is Homeboys in Outer Space although this may be funny when you waisted.

Ones I remember:
Small Wonder where the father made this little red headed girl robot - Viki - she was a real brat and kept getting in trouble - yeah okay….
Then there was Unhappily Ever After where the guy kept talking to this rabbit puppet, I only watched like two episodes of that one…. it stunk!
Women in Prison (could be Girls in Prison) it starred a pro wrestling lady, I don’t think it lasted too long…

greg,
three’s company is extremely overated -all the episodes are about the same thing..a wild misunderstanding with sexual overtones…ridiculous…
m.a.s.h is fantastic - i can’t believe you listed that …

I didn’t list Mash I listed AfterMASH a spinoff of Mash and wild misunderstanding’s with sexual overtones with John Ritter at the helm is hilarious.

Yo fellas,
I would have to say Full House. Cheesy, Frigin’ gay, horrible acting, with recycled, dry one liners (from 15 years earlier) that just put a pit in your stomach, which forced you to quickly change channels before it convinced me I was way gay… And the worst of all was when that hack filled no-talent band used to play songs on the show… (and they thought they were cool)… Uuuuhhhgggg YUCK!!!
Someone has gotta feel me on this…
Peace suckers!!!

For me, it’s a toss-up between Blossom and Martin. Two grade A pieces of crap. Dishonerable mention:
-227
-Flo’s Yellow Rose (Kiss My Grits)
-Joanie Loves Chachi
-Alf (talking puppet, wtf??)
-Webster (that kid was freaky)
-One Day at a Time (although Valeri Bertenelli - yum!)
-The Ropers
btw, anyone who thinks that Three’s Company was bad can kiss my grits. Come on, Suzanne Somers in a bikini?? How can you not like that? Christ, even Janet was cute. It was all about free spirited sex and shenanigans. What more could you possibly want in a sitcom??

Both Mr Roper and Mr Furley are classic TV characters, not to mention Larry Dallas. Three’s Company will live forever.

You guys missed some major players in this category:
Spinoffs:
1. Enos - spinoff from Dukes of Hazzard with Enos moving to LA
2. The Tortellis - spinoff from Cheers with Carla’s husband
Movie to TV:
1. Clueless - I still can’t understand how the movie was a hit let alone who thought the TV show would work
2. My Big Fat Greek Life - the name pretty much says it all
Other:
1. Friends - say what you want, this show SUCKED!
2. Brotherly Love - If Joey Lawrence wasn’t bad enough on TV by himself, let’s add his two brothers and make it 3x as bad!
Overall, I’d have to go with Enos as the worst sitcom of all times!
