i would have to say the 70’s. her we are 30 years later and those movies are still the best of the best. although i might have not liked all of them, i recognize that for when they were made, they were way far ahead of their time. star wars alone, speaks volumes for this… but all of the movies that are listed are classic’s and you can’t be a true movie buff without recognizing this… considering the time when they were made, the contrast being the world then, and the movies, they really had some intriguing ideas. so i will say the 70’s!

Thats tough. Both decades have some awesome movies. But Im going to say the 80s. I watch more movies that were made in the 80s than I watch from the 70s. Also, Aliens was made in the 80s. ‘Nuff said.

Hands down the 80s rule! Aliens, Blade Runner, Caddyshack and let’s not forget National Lampoon’s Vacation alone make the 80s the best decade for movies. Take the Godfather movies and Rocky out of the 70s and you’re left with nothing!

I would have to say late 70’s into the 80’s, I only remember the late 70’s movies. although the 80’s were great as well.

Easily, the 70’s were the better decade…and I’ll kill any man that says different. That 80’s list included ET, Amadeus and The Breakfast Club. Gay movies all of them. The 70’s list didn’t even include Kelly’s Heroes and Hard Times, a gross miscariage of justice. Anyone who says the 80’s had better movies is crazy. Also, Henry Grant is gay. That guy Caroline Shields told me so…

Why is this a topic???? 70’s or 80’s not my sexual preference! 70’s was not only greater than the 80’s, it is probably the best movie decade of all time.
I could take a list of the best movies of the 70’s and I could filter that list down and only show only movies staring Al Pacino, Solyent Green, The Omega Man and Blazing Saddles and the 70’s would still be better than the 80’s.
What did the 80’s give us beside Platoon, Raging Bull, Good Fellows and Terminator/Aliens???

Ah excuse me but the 80s gave us Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure AND Big Top Pee Wee…

Are you kidding me? No 70s list is complete without “the last dinosaur”!
“his time has past, there are no more, he is the last dinosaur!”
