Monica has fostered or is fostering 12 homeless cats so far.  Pics above!

Tyler Colello and the Williams Field Blackhawks destroyed Coronado 54-0.  Tyler played three positions during the game and in my opinion is responsible for the win.  Tyler is number 63 in the pictures.

I really like the camera so far, although I’ve only just started to play with it.  12 megapixels, something-x zoom, etc.    Here are a few test pictures I just took under poor lighting conditions..

I finally got around to seeing The Expendables.  For a child of the 80’s, it was really a must-see.  Starring primarily Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham, this was a true throw-back to the action movie days of old.  With tons of violence, gun play, car chases and some surprisingly funny lines this one is well worth watching, especially if you are a Statham fan.

Introducing the Williams Field JV Blackhawks…

We lost Vegas “Showgirl” Colello yesterday, who had been ill off and on for the last half a year or so.

Monica and I adopted Vegas shortly after moving to Arizona, and so she’s always been part of our lives here.

While Vegas could be tough when interacting with other dogs, she was always more than kind to puppies, cats and people.  Vegas was always the first to the door when someone came home, and the first to make friends with strangers.  You’d never know it to look at her, but she could run super fast, just for the record.

We’ll all miss her, she was a good puppy.

Cleo - King of the Living Room

Martin, Tyler and I wanted everyone to know that earlier today we lost Cleo the cat. Cleo has been sick for the past year.  I made a quality of life appointment for him today and the vet agreed that Cleo was very ill, and he was not responding to numerous medications.  I made the decision that life in a cage was not for the once vibrant kitten that climbed curtains and towered shower stalls and cabinets. Cleo passed in typical Cleo fashion, growling at the vet and hissing at 1:00 pm July 12th. There will never be a unique cat like Cleo again. Cleo we will love and miss you.
For my part I’ll remember this as Cleo’s ultimate triumph:  Years ago Monica was outside talking to our neighbor and Cleo decided to walk along the top of the curtain at our back patio door.  Cleo falls from the top of the curtain, and hits the door lock on the way down.  Monica called me at work and I had to drive home because Cleo locked her out of the house.  He was a very bad kitten, but a great cat.
